One of the downsides of traveling all over everywhere photographing is that sometimes I don’t meet couples until the day before their wedding. One of the upsides of always doing engagement portraits is that I always get to meet couples at least a day before their wedding. It’s so important and so much fun to get together ahead of time and it makes the wedding day photography feel so relaxed.
Charlotte & Jon are the perfect example. They live in San Francisco, I’m based in Denver these days, and the wedding is here in gorgeous Hanalei. We got together for just a bit at Postcards, the restaurant where they had their rehearsal dinner, and oy did we have fun! After spending just a little time together I have such a great feeling for their love story and how they interact with each other and they get to see how stunning they look in their photographs. And, seriously, they are just stunning together and soooo in love. Their wedding is going to be a blast…
