Living Strong… Allen… and people who love him…I met Allen through his beautiful wife Katie. (Who may be the nicest person on the planet coupled with a little sass that I adore.) I’ve been very fortunate to be invited to capture their love story before and after their beautiful Mexico wedding and over the years since. This time I was invited to photograph Allen with his family… of course including Macaroni the wonder dog…

Matt and I lost Belle (our 9 year old pug) this past Sunday and it has been so incredibly hard on us. And then – after taking some time to reflect on belle on our own blog – I came over here to see if maybe you could give me some comfort in going through the same thing – and I just couldn’t believe how much comfort your words gave me. I was feeling so selfish in my grief – and not so thankful…and then to see Allen – and to read his story and their amazing courage – well…I want you to know how inspiring they are and how much I feel grateful for the life we have today. Life is delicate and can suck at times – but thank the lord for amazing people like Allen and his family. I am thinking of their family and yours.
