I have a weakness for golden retrievers. Seriously, ask Jodie. If I pass one on the street I am completely incapable of keeping myself from stopping for a snuggle. They’re so good at it. The dogs I mean. The British most often have no idea what to do with the America woman who is now hugging their dog. Well, not always hugging, but there’s definitely some serious ear scratching.

So imagine my joy at being invited to photograph Marcus. Huge, fluffy, lovey Marcus. Who clearly adores his Claire. I love how sweetly he looks at her. Now that’s a happy ole dog…

I adored Spain. Flat out loved everything and I now grate tomatoes on almost anything bread related. But the highlight, even in the midst of so many wonderful sights and sounds and tastes, was the Ramseys. The only way I know to describe them is as a joyful noise. Four amazing kids, two happy parents, and one crazy dog. It was the most brilliant chaos ever!

I feel a bit like I’ve know Whitney forever… she’s that deep in my heart. And John… clearly loves her like she has been in his heart forever. They were college sweethearts and life and paths brought them back to each other. Isn’t that magical? It reminds me of the stories you hear from couples in their eighties who found their long lost loves. Except that Whitney & John get to be with each (and Hugo and Bruno) other now… and always…

Maureen & Ryan giggle together like little kids. It’s absolutely magical. You sort of get all wrapped up in it with them and lost in a love story that reveals itself in every moment… every gesture. Funny that whole ‘love of your life’ thing. I never thought a sense of humor was that big of a deal, until I found the man who makes me laugh myself silly. Maureen clearly has found hers. And the way Ryan looks at her makes it perfectly clear that she is the love of his life too…

I love Texas. It still sounds a little funny in my head, but I married an Okie who was raised a Texan and, well, there’s something about Texas that’s deep in my heart. And part of that is Texas girls and the men who love them. It’s like old south with some serious chutzpah. They’re strong and loving and kind and powerful. It’s a part of why David is so fortunate that Patty is deeply in love with him. Lucky guy…

I’m on my way back to London today… more than ready to disappear into my sweet husband’s arms for a bit. Much cooking and ridiculously good bubbles and wine on tap for tomorrow. I can’t wait to see him.

While I’m up in the air, I thought you might enjoy meeting Ramona Moon. There are absolutely not enough words for how much I adore her and her parents. The call from Julie to come and photograph for them after Ramona came home was one of the great gifts of my life. Ramona is beyond beautiful and already owns all our hearts…

Yes, it’s true! Not only am I full on participating. I’m actually adding links. Will wonders never cease. And I do really like the new timeline layout on Facebook. Much prettier. But the truth is… I flat out ADORE Pinterest. Yes, we are having a deep and meaningful love affair. Jodie worries that that’s who I’m seeing late at night when I can’t sleep.

But then there’s Jodie and Twitter. Who knew that my darling man would be the tweeter in the family. While I don’t think I will ever (and I mean never ever) follow ESPN, Jodie does make a convincing argument for following Steve Martin.

So this first photo… Neysa’s note from Scott… he writes her one every morning and this was the one she received on their wedding day. Oh my heavens! I nearly started crying the moment I arrived and saw it. Is it any wonder that Neysa & Scott are so deep in my heart?

Neysa brought joy like you read about to her wedding day. Everywhere you looked she was bubbling over with love. And it wasn’t just her. She’s one of those women would makes everything around her warmer and more complete. Scott may just be the luckiest man in the world.
