There are a lot of moments to love during a wedding. Every single time is unique, special for exactly the way a bride and groom look at each other, speak to each other, touch each others’ hands, shoulders, lips… it’s magical.

I think all of us were a bit awestruck watching how beautiful and in love Cynthia & Mike are. The way they interacted during their ceremony took my breath away. I wasn’t the only one crying and I felt so fortunate to hear the gentle whispers of their friends and families as I moved around the church.

Yet, somehow, it was this moment, right after the ceremony, that captured my heart and has stayed with me since. Just after the recessional, Cynthia & Mike stepped to the side chapel to wait for their families. And in the midst of their joy, under the stained glass window, this is how he kissed his new wife…

Joyful sums it up. Unbelievably, overwhelmingly joyful. Kali & Duncan sailed through their wedding day like they were dancing on giddy clouds. Every time I turned around around they were embraced by laughter with their friends and family. So of course, Kali’s entrance to the ceremony was more of that same joy… coupled with some joyful tears too…

Ann & Larry… got married! (Grandview Lodge Wedding)

Mmmm hmmm… they’re back. And I keep crying over the photos. Jeeeeez these two are in my heart. It was just… magical. The whole day. It poured rain all morning… and the sun came out just in time for Larry to walk out on the dock to wait to see Ann for the first time…

And as if the location and their families weren’t enough to just send me over the moon… there was also a fire truck! The same fire truck in which Ann’s parents took a ride right after they got married. The original driver and his wife were even a guests at the wedding.

Jodie says it’s goofy that I have the song stuck in my head, but I’ve been humming ‘I Had the Time of My Life‘ ever since this beautiful Minnesota wedding…

Melissa & Jeremy… in Rome!

So here’s how this went down in Jeremy’s head as he stood in Rome with his beautiful wife… Hey, that lady’s photographing us. Wait… That’s Paige!

On their first anniversary trip through Europe, Melissa totally surprised Jeremy with a photo shoot in Rome. (He married a fantastic woman!) She surprised Jeremy at the Trevi Fountain and we spent the evening exploring some of my favorite places and shooting along the way. We had so much fun! And I can’t wait to show you more photos…
